Volunteers play a vital role in creating a warm, family-like experience for the women who call Southmayd Home their residence. Whether you have an afternoon a month or a regular weekly commitment, your time helps sustain a nonprofit residential care community that has served women in Waterbury for over 125 years.

Current Volunteer Opportunities Include:

• Garden & Grounds Care — Help plant, maintain, and beautify our one-acre backyard garden park, a favorite gathering space for residents.

• Furniture Restoration — Lend a hand painting and refurbishing furniture throughout the home.

• Arts & Crafts Instruction — Lead or assist with creative projects that keep residents' hands and minds engaged.

• Skill & Knowledge Sharing — Share your expertise in a hobby, musical talent, travel experience, or other interest through a talk, class, or demonstration.

• Fundraising Support — Get involved in fundraising events and initiatives that help sustain Southmayd's nonprofit mission.
