Southmayd is a non-profit residential care home for senior women founded in 1898. The home is nestled in the Historic Overlook neighborhood of Waterbury, where residents enjoy socializing and relaxing amongst indoor and outdoor social areas.
To provide self-sufficient women, over the age of 60, a residence that is safe and nurturing in a family-like atmosphere.
If you are worried about someone being alone when you need to be away – or they have completed rehabilitation but are not ready to be on their own- Southmayd offers temporary residency in a welcoming, secure environment until your loved one is ready to return home.
A member of the Connecticut Association of Not-for-Profit Providers For the Aging (CANPFA) and a charter member of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA), Southmayd Home, Inc. is licensed by the State of Connecticut.
