Nestled among charming, early-twentieth
century, single-family residences in the Overlook Historic
District of Waterbury, Connecticut, Southmayd Homes
three-story, attractive Tudor-style building is located on
a Waterbury bus line and occupies more than an acre of land.
Each resident has her own private room where she can arrange
her furniture and have installed a phone and cable T.V.
All meals are served daily in our tastefully
decorated dining room. Residents may enjoy quiet moments of
relaxation in the large homelike living room or in one of
our three cozy sunrooms and enclosed porches. Residents may
use our crafts room to paint a picture, do embroidery or log
onto the computer to send emails to family or friends. There
is also a beauty parlor on the premises.
Southmayd Home is beautifully surrounded
by gardens, a wooded park with safe walking paths, a waterfall
with pond, and a patio equipped with lawn chairs for picnicking
or for sitting to enjoy the fresh air, warm weather and listen
to the sounds of youthful laughter from the adjacent elementary
school yard.
